Strategies for Social Enterprise Scaling and Replication – Leveraging Generative AI Tools to Create Market Disequilibria and Drive Sector-Wide Transformation

9-13 March 2026, Copenhagen

This course is designed to support social enterprises that aim to expand their impact through external replication, the process by which other organizations adopt or adapt a proven model. By participating you gain access to a structured, research-based process that strengthens your social enterprise’s replication strategy and enhances your ability to influence market and non-market environments.

A key outcome of the course is the creation of several custom generative AI “personas”, that will take on the perspective of, for example, your beneficiaries, your customers, impact investors, public sector partners. This will be specifically tailored to your social enterprise and help you support replication activities such as communication with franchise partners, social enterprises that want to adopt your model in other locations, and social innovators. It can also be used for internal training, investor dialogue, and impact communication. This tool is developed collaboratively during the course and will be owned exclusively by your social enterprise. You will be able to decide who has access to the tool.

Each participating enterprise benefits from a dedicated team of international MBA students who work intensively throughout the week. These students act as analytical and strategic partners, contributing:

  • Collecting data for model customization
  • Support in designing, refining, and testing the social enterprise’s custom GPT
  • Assistance in preparing stakeholder-facing materials
  • Hands-on participation in user testing and scenario development

Their concentrated effort ensures rapid progress and provides the enterprise with actionable outputs that can continue to shape replication efforts long after the course ends.

Course Duration

This is a five-day intensive programme (Monday–Friday) at Copenhagen Business School, combining lectures, workshops, applied AI development during the morning (9:00-12:30), and optional field testing by the students in the afternoon.

Pre-Course Support

  • 6 weeks prior: Virtual onboarding to discuss expectations, data preparation, and the AI development process
  • 3 weeks prior: Submission of business model materials and replication goals
  • 1 week prior: CBS team configures and tests preliminary custom GPTs based on submitted data

Post-Course Support

Following the course, each participating enterprise receives up to six months of optional academic mentoring from a CBS faculty advisor and a PhD or postdoctoral researcher. This extended support focuses on continuing the development, integration, and practical use of the AI tool within the replication strategy.

Target Group

The course is developed for practitioners from social enterprises in Scandinavia and Northern Europe who seek to scale impact through replication. Participation from multiple representatives of the same enterprise is encouraged to strengthen organizational learning and implementation.
